Character, special skills and training.
Exhibiting great endurance, the Rottweiler is hardy,well-balanced and peaceable, though he has a very strong personality and is an alpha dog to the core (particularly the male). He must give the appearance of contained power. He never barks without cause.The Rottweiler forms a strong bond and is devoted to his owner and patient with children. This fearless dog is an excellent guard dog, particularly with his menacing appearance. The Rottweiler may exhibit aggressiveness towards strangers.Early very firm (but Gentle) training is required to ensure that this dog will obey without fail. The Rottweiler reflects the personality of his owner. If treated cruelly, he can develop into a ferocious weapon.
Care and function.
The Rottweiler requires considerable space and exercise. He does not like to be closed in or tied up. This breed does not tolerate heat well. Daily brushing is required.
